Do you think an American or U.S. politician should go abroad to trash the U.S. government like Sarah Palin did?

When it's a republican criticizing a democrat that it's clear that dissension is the greatest form of patriotism. But if it were a democrat criticizing a republican from a foreign country, it would clearly be an act of treason.
