Past presidents picture displayed?

Isn't it distasteful or most unusual for my boss at our workplace to hang a picture of former president Ronald Reagan(or any other former president) on his office wall? I find the mere sight of Ronny Reagan disgusting. A portrait of a former president in a government office such as the White House is appropriate. Is this a form of basic, perhaps, covert harassment?
