Occams razor or Occams broom?

Occam's razor doesn't call for the simplest explanation. It calls for the one requiring the least unsupported entities. While magic offers the most simplistic answer, everything can be explained as magic, it is not the simplest because there is no evidence for magic, so there is an unsupported entity.
