Modern technological products or movements diminishing income gap between the rich and the poor?

Is there any example of a modern technological advancement that helped directly or indirectly diminish the income gap between the rich and the poor? I know that this question is gonna be quite weird but I am currently thrown into a small project and am in urgent need of an answer to this question. I would be grateful if anyone can help! :)
