Your honest opinion please?

i'm planning a romantic vacation for my girlfriend and myself this year. she's wanting to go to Jamaica and wants to try a resort. Thus far i've been looking at Sandals and Couples. I like the "look" of sandals as far as their website goes (couples website isn't much informative and not as appealing as sandals). My concerns though is that Sandals (from what i read on trip advisor.com) uses a tier system when it comes to guest...i.e.... butler serviced guests get ahead of the line before others, even if we've waited inline. Apparently making reservations at restaurants on the resort is a challenge b/c of this. and people w/o butler service aren't treated as nicely? also I have read several complaints about the pool area and the fact that you need to get up around 6am just ot reserve chairs...other wise if you had a butler you wouldnt have to worry about that. and the food from what I've read is distasteful......where as Couples doesnt have much of the same issues, mainly b/c they don't have a tier system. and I also noticed that w/ couples i was able to resverve an Ocean front room w/ a jaccuzi spa in it for half the price than at Sandals.....so I was wondering which would be better for both my experience and my money..... Sandals resort? or the Couples resort?
